Your Toolkit to Design Interventions that Impact Real Lives

Use the Planning Tool

Introduction
Introduction
The Make Research Matter (MRM) Planning Tool is designed to assist developers of cancer control interventions and tools to increase dissemination and implementation (D&I) potential of their products. With the Planning Tool, you will be able to:
  • develop the dissemination section of your grant proposal;
  • identify what kind of preliminary data you might want to collect prior to the development of the intervention;
  • identify relevant and tailored resources on D&I that you might want to review prior to the development of the intervention;
  • plan for resources necessary to carry out your D&I plan.
The Planning Tool survey can be filled out during any stage of your project, but it is most appropriate during the planning and early development stages.
It will take you about 25 minutes to complete the survey. You must complete the survey in one sitting. You will not be able to come back at a later time to finish the survey. Once you complete the survey, a tailored D&I planning report will be provided to you to save and print. Information provided throughout the survey will be saved in a secure database. The information will be summarized as an aggregate and individual project information will be shared only with the permission of the user.
This Planning Tool will be useful if you have already done some thinking about your intervention content and potential end products.
Do you have at least one end product in mind for your intervention?
