Alison Hamilton has a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of California, Los Angeles as well as an MPH from the same university. Her career goal as an applied psychological anthropologist and public health professional is to participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of effective services for women with mental health conditions. She is interested across the board in women's mental health issues and particularly in women veterans' issues and treatment needs. As an IRI Fellow, she hopes to create synergy across her intellectual interests and professional experiences and to make a contribution to the improvement of mental health services for women.
